Instrument Technician


We are in need of an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Faro. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on instrumentation and control. They will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of instruments and control systems used in our industry. This is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment based on performance. The salary for this role is $900 per week.

Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of instruments and control systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Identify and repair faulty equipment or components
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure proper functioning of instruments
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve complex issues
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and completed work orders

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on instrumentation and control
- Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment or component faults
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed

Preferred qualifications:
- Associate degree in Instrumentation Technology or similar field
- Certification in instrument calibration or maintenance
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting
