As a Formworker in Faro, Portugal, you will be responsible for constructing temporary frameworks and structures used to support concrete during construction projects. You will use a variety of materials such as wood, steel, and aluminum to build forms that will hold the concrete in place until it hardens. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring the strength and stability of the final structure.

To be successful as a Formworker, you should have previous experience working with formwork systems and be able to read blueprints and construction plans. You must also have strong mathematical skills to accurately measure and cut materials. Physical stamina is important as this job may require lifting heavy objects and working at heights.

Your responsibilities will include setting up formwork following specifications provided by engineers or contractors, inspecting forms for proper alignment and levelness, cutting materials to size using hand or power tools, installing reinforcing bar or wire mesh inside forms before pouring concrete, removing forms once the concrete has cured, and cleaning up work areas after each project is completed.

You may also be required to use digital or laser levels to ensure accuracy of formwork installation and operate equipment such as cranes or forklifts to move materials on job sites. Safety is paramount in this role, so you must follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment at all times.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification along with relevant vocational training or apprenticeship experience.
