Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and production of all pastries, breads, and desserts in our prestigious hotel located in Mecca. You will lead a team of talented pastry chefs and bakers, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your creativity and expertise will be essential in developing new and innovative menu items to keep our guests coming back for more. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pastry Chef to showcase their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and oversee the production of all pastries, breads, and desserts
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry chefs and bakers
- Develop new recipes and menu items
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all products
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry department
- Adhere to food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, including decorating, icing, and chocolate work
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new recipes
Salary: $1400 USD per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Mecca, Saudi Arabia (Preference for English-speaking African candidates)
