Dietitian for Student Health Services in Porto, Portugal



As a Dietitian for Student Health Services in Porto, you will be responsible for providing individualized nutrition counseling and education to students to promote healthy eating habits and prevent diet-related health issues. You will work closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement nutrition plans for students with special dietary needs or medical conditions. This position offers a salary of 1200$ per month, with accommodation and visa sponsorship provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting nutrition assessments and developing individualized nutrition plans for students
- Providing nutrition education and counseling to students on campus
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care for students with medical conditions or special dietary needs
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress towards nutrition goals
- Developing and implementing campus-wide nutrition education initiatives
- Maintaining accurate records of student visits and progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited university
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical or community nutrition, preferably working with college-age individuals
- Strong knowledge of current nutrition guidelines and principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited university
- Experience working in a university or college setting
- Fluency in Portuguese
