Network and Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our company's network systems. You will also be responsible for managing user accounts, implementing security measures, and ensuring the overall functionality of our network.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime
- Manage user accounts and access control permissions
- Implement security measures to protect against cyber threats
- Install and configure new hardware and software as needed
- Perform regular backups of important data
- Create and maintain network documentation for reference
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve technical issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of security practices including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals

Salary: $900 per month

Location: Almada, Portugal. This is not a strict requirement; remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
