Location: Wiltz, Luxembourg


We are in search of a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Wiltz. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the company's database systems and ensuring their performance, availability, and security. Your main duties will include designing and implementing database structures, monitoring data integrity and security, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to users. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database management systems, data backup and recovery procedures, and experience working with SQL databases. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not required. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining database structures
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing for maximum efficiency
- Ensuring data security through regular backups and implementing proper access controls
- Troubleshooting database issues and providing technical support to users
- Collaborating with other teams to develop data-driven solutions for business needs
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred but not required)
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with SQL databases and writing SQL queries
- Understanding of data backup and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this position.
