Indian Executive Chef - Mauren
We are a well-established restaurant in Mauren seeking a talented and creative Indian Executive Chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, creating new menus, and training and managing the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and traditional Indian dishes that meet our high standards of taste and presentation
- Develop new menu items and seasonal specials in collaboration with the restaurant owner
- Manage inventory and control food costs to maintain profitability
- Train and supervise all kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improve menu offerings
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in an Indian restaurant setting (minimum 3 years)
- Passion for Indian cuisine and creativity in developing new dishes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles of Indian cuisine
- Ability to manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (English proficiency required)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Mauren
