Mason - Nizwa, Nepal


A reputable construction company in Nizwa is seeking a skilled Mason to join our team. We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual with experience in bricklaying, tile setting, and general masonry work. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, chimneys, and other structures using various materials such as bricks, concrete blocks, and natural or artificial stones.

Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks or other materials to construct walls and other structures according to blueprints or specifications
- Cut or break bricks and stones to desired sizes using hand tools
- Prepare mortar or grout by mixing ingredients according to specified formulas
- Use levels, rulers, plumb bobs, and other tools to ensure that structures are built straight and level
- Repair cracks or damages in existing structures
- Install firebricks to line industrial chimneys
- Set tiles on floors and walls using adhesives or mortar
- Clean up job sites after completing work
- Adhere to safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Familiarity with various masonry tools and equipment such as trowels, levels, and chisels
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and their uses
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating quantities needed
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month along with opportunities for growth within the company.

Location:
This position is based in Nizwa, Nepal. Preference will be given to Nepali candidates.
