Waiter/Waitress at a Indian Restaurant in Mombasa


We are seeking experienced and customer-oriented Waiters/Waitresses to join our team at our popular Indian restaurant in Mombasa. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that our guests have a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders from guests and relay them accurately to the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages to guests
- Ensure timely delivery of orders
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Handle any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Process payments accurately using cash or credit card machines
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure prompt service and quality of food

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an added advantage)
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an Indian restaurant or knowledge of Indian cuisine
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team

Salary: Starting at $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Mombasa, Kenya (Indian nationality preferred)
