Android Developer

We are a rapidly growing tech company in Akron looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge mobile applications for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Android platform and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative and user-friendly mobile applications for Android devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to continuously improve application functionality
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Android development
- Proficient in Java and Kotlin programming languages
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Experience working with remote data via RESTful APIs and JSON
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Published at least one original Android app on Google Play Store
- Familiarity with Firebase or other backend services for mobile applications
