Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a renowned fine dining restaurant in the beautiful city of Clairvaux. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality desserts and baked goods, as well as managing the pastry section of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare delicious and visually appealing desserts, pastries, and bread items according to the restaurant's standards
- Manage all aspects of the pastry section, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and budgeting
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen assistants
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met in the pastry department
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new dessert menus according to seasonal ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques and methods
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or equivalent certification is preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Fluent in English (additional language skills are an asset)
Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)
