Executive Chef at a Luxury Resort in Shan, Myanmar

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a luxury resort in Shan, Myanmar. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality menus, training and supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menus that reflect the local culture while also catering to international palates
- Source and select high-quality ingredients from local markets and suppliers
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste
- Manage food cost controls to maintain profitability without sacrificing quality
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with other departments such as front of house staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development

Requirements:
- Significant experience (at least 5 years) working as an Executive Chef in luxury hotels or resorts
- Extensive knowledge of international cuisine as well as local dishes in Myanmar
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, health, and safety
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Burmese is an advantage)
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field

Salary: $1000 per month plus benefits. Accommodation will be provided. Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
