Head Chef - Filipino Cuisine

We are a well-established restaurant in Sharjah, known for serving delicious Filipino cuisine. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and maintain our high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.

As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu creation and ingredient sourcing to food preparation and cooking. You will also be in charge of managing kitchen staff, training new employees, and ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in Filipino cuisine, with at least 5 years of experience working as a head chef in a similar setting. You should also have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create new menus that showcase the best of Filipino cuisine while keeping in mind customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers and manage inventory levels
- Train new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques, safety protocols, and menu items
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and smooth service during busy periods
- Develop relationships with customers by regularly interacting with them during meal times
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a head chef in a restaurant serving Filipino cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of Filipino dishes, ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English (Tagalog is an advantage)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling

Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
