Librarian - Bayan, Kuwait


We are currently hiring a Librarian for our library in Bayan, Kuwait. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$. We welcome applicants of all nationalities, but preference will be given to Indian candidates who are fluent in English.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the library, including cataloging and shelving books, managing loan requests, and maintaining the library's online database.
- Provide assistance to library patrons by helping them find resources and providing information on library services.
- Develop and implement programs and events to promote reading and literacy among library users.
- Collaborate with teachers to support their curriculum by providing relevant resources for their students.
- Keep track of library inventory, order new materials as needed, and manage budget allocations for new purchases.
- Train and supervise student workers or volunteers who may assist with library tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the library.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and online databases.
- Familiarity with current technology used in libraries such as e-readers and digital libraries.
