Contract Construction Manager - Funchal, Madeira


We are in need of an experienced and skilled Construction Manager to oversee our project in Funchal, Madeira. As a Contract Construction Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of the project within the specified time frame and budget. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines and budgets
- Oversee all aspects of the construction process, including subcontractor management, material procurement, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to stay on track with project goals
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify any issues or potential delays
- Manage project documentation and keep accurate records of expenses and progress
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on the project's status

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale projects (minimum 5 years)
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal in Portuguese (required) and English (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
