Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases for optimal performance
- Monitor database systems to ensure availability and performance
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Develop backup and recovery plans for data protection
- Analyze database usage to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for database development projects
- Maintain data security by implementing access controls, monitoring user activity, and conducting regular audits
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL
- Strong understanding of database design principles
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
