Finisher for Furniture Manufacturing - Shan, Pakistan


We are in search of a skilled Finisher to join our furniture manufacturing team in Shan, Pakistan. As a Finisher, you will be responsible for applying various finishes to furniture pieces to enhance their appearance and durability. This is a contract job with a competitive salary of 1700$ per month. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in furniture finishing and be able to work with different materials such as wood, metal, and laminate. This job is open to all English speaking individuals, including freshers looking for an opportunity to learn and grow in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect furniture pieces for any defects or imperfections before applying finishes
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling holes, and applying primer if necessary
- Mix and apply stains, paints, varnishes or other finishes according to specifications
- Use hand tools or spray equipment to apply finishes evenly and smoothly
- Ensure proper ventilation and safety measures are followed while working with chemicals
- Monitor drying times and make adjustments as needed
- Perform touch-ups or repairs on finished furniture pieces
- Keep track of inventory levels of finishing materials and place orders when needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in finishing techniques is preferred
- Proven experience as a finisher in the furniture manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics is a plus
- Familiarity with different finishing techniques such as staining, painting, varnishing etc.
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is desirable but not required
- Proficient in using hand tools and spray equipment
- Detail-oriented with an eye for perfection
- Good physical stamina as this job requires standing for long periods of time
- Strong understanding of safety procedures when working with chemicals
- Excellent time management skills
