Librarian


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Bansko, Bulgaria. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the library, including managing collections, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and services. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of library systems and technology, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of library collections
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Promote library resources and services through outreach activities
- Develop and implement programs to engage the community
- Train staff on new technologies and assist with troubleshooting issues
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship to continuously improve services
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events, programs, and initiatives

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (Bulgarian language proficiency is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of library systems, databases, and technology
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Bansko, Bulgaria (housing assistance can be provided for international candidates)

Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Visa Sponsorship: The candidate must have their own visa/work permit for Bulgaria. Assistance may be provided for obtaining necessary documentation.

Working hours: Full-time position with flexible working hours including evenings and weekends.
