Head Chef



We are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at a prestigious restaurant in Nizwa, Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to create innovative and high-quality dishes. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen including menu planning, ordering ingredients, and managing staff. Responsibilities:
- Develop new menu items that meet high standards of quality and creativity
- Plan and organize menus according to seasonal availability of ingredients
- Create and maintain relationships with local suppliers for fresh and high-quality ingredients
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Oversee inventory management and budgeting to ensure cost-effective operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management team to continually improve operations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a reputable culinary school
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dishes while maintaining traditional favorites
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Nizwa, Oman (accommodation provided)
