Cashier - Entry Level, Nairobi



We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in Nairobi. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing sales transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Scan and process items accurately using the POS system
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, and exchanges
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills to accurately handle cash transactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
