Database Administrator (Contractor) - Funchal, Portugal


We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a contractor, you will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, and security of our company's databases. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our databases are optimized for efficiency and meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Optimize database design for maximum speed and scalability
- Develop and implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Collaborate with development team to create efficient database structures for new applications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of 1100$ per month. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
