Carpenter - Part Time (Svalbard)



Our reputable construction company is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a part-time basis in the beautiful city of Svalbard. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, including furniture, fixtures, and building frameworks.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to blueprints or instructions
- Cut and shape wood using hand or power tools
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, and roofs
- Follow safety procedures at all times to avoid accidents or injuries
- Inspect materials for defects or damage before beginning work
- Repair any damaged structures or fixtures as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and heavy lifting if required
- Experience with both hand and power tools
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this part-time position.

Visa & Ticket:
We will provide free visa sponsorship for non-Svalbard nationals. However, accommodation will not be provided. We will also cover the cost of your travel ticket to Svalbard.
