IT Support Technician



We are in search of a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Faro. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients with their computer systems. Your main duties will include troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and providing training to users on new technologies.

To excel in this position, you must have a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You should also have experience with various operating systems, software applications, and hardware components. As an IT Support Technician, you must be able to communicate effectively with clients of all levels of technical knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Responding to client inquiries and providing technical support for computer systems.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, servers, and other devices.
- Installing and configuring operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
- Providing training to clients on new technologies or software updates.
- Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and resolutions.
- Collaborating with team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of computer systems including hardware components, operating systems, and software applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Experience with Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
