Preservation Architect in Jerusalem, Israel


We are in search of a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Jerusalem, Israel. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while also ensuring they meet modern safety and building standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough on-site inspections and assessments of historical structures
- Developing preservation plans and strategies based on the condition of the structure
- Creating detailed drawings and blueprints for restoration projects
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure quality work
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration projects
- Monitoring progress and ensuring that the project stays within budget and meets deadlines
- Conducting research on historical building materials, techniques, and design styles
- Identifying potential hazards or risks to the structure's integrity and developing solutions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software
- Knowledge of preservation guidelines, codes, and regulations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Historic Preservation or Conservation Architecture
- Experience working with historical buildings in Jerusalem or other ancient cities
- Ability to speak Hebrew
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
