Job Title: Handyman Supervisor



We are hiring a skilled and experienced Handyman Supervisor to oversee our team of handymen in the city of Svalbard. As a Handyman Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of our handymen, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assign tasks to a team of handymen, ensuring that all work is completed within designated timeframes
- Plan and organize work schedules, taking into account factors such as project deadlines, availability of materials, and client requirements
- Train new handymen on company policies, safety procedures, and job-specific skills
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work is being carried out according to company standards
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during projects and provide solutions to ensure smooth completion
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and employee work hours
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project status
- Collaborate with other departments such as procurement and finance to ensure timely delivery of materials and proper allocation of resources

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or similar role in a supervisory capacity
- Excellent knowledge of various handyman tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage)
- Valid work permit or residency status in Svalbard
