Preservation Architect
A reputable architecture firm in Karachi is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team on a contract basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city. Your main duties will include conducting site assessments, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.
To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in architecture with a focus on historic preservation. You must also have at least 3 years of experience working on preservation projects. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is essential, as well as strong project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments to determine the condition of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop restoration plans
- Oversee restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship and budget adherence
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and budget expenses
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on project status
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture with a focus on Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 3 years experience working on preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
