Welder - Svalbard



As a Welder at our company in Svalbard, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications. We are looking for a skilled and experienced welder who can work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to determine welding requirements
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
- Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, or overhead)
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
- Valid welding certification (e.g. AWS) preferred
- Familiarity with different types of welding techniques and equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Physical stamina to work in various positions for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
