Job Title: Smelter Operator

We are hiring a skilled Smelter Operator to join our team in Nairobi. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining smelting equipment to melt and refine metal ores or scraps. Your main duties will include monitoring temperature and pressure levels, adjusting controls, and ensuring the quality of the melted metal.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience working as a Smelter Operator and be knowledgeable about different types of metals and their properties. You must also have strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment to melt and refine metal ores or scraps
- Monitor temperature and pressure levels to ensure the proper melting process
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain optimal conditions
- Test samples of melted metal for quality assurance
- Perform routine maintenance on smelting equipment
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Smelter Operator or similar role
- Knowledgeable about different types of metals and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Physical stamina to handle heavy materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid work visa for Kenya (visa sponsorship available for non-Kenyans)
