Computer Support Specialist - Svalbard

As a Computer Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. You will diagnose and troubleshoot problems, guide users through solutions, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team. You will also be responsible for setting up new devices, installing software updates, and maintaining network security. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email or in-person
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Provide guidance on proper use of equipment and software applications
- Set up new devices and install software updates
- Monitor network security and implement measures to protect against threats
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team when necessary
- Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Computer Support Specialist or similar role
- Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, operating systems, and applications
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Customer-oriented mindset with good communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)

Salary: 1100$ per month with free visa and ticket provided.
Location: Svalbard (preference for local candidates).
