Pastry Chef
A renowned restaurant in Manama is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, pastries, and other sweet treats for our guests. We are looking for someone who is passionate about pastry making and has a creative flair to bring new and innovative ideas to our menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a variety of desserts and pastries according to the restaurant's standards
- Develop new recipes and menu items while keeping up with current food trends
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, high quality, and within budget
- Oversee the production of all baked goods in the kitchen
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain inventory of pastry supplies and equipment
- Follow strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, measurements, equipment, and safety procedures
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box when it comes to creating unique desserts
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and instructions to staff members
Qualifications:
- Certified Pastry Chef or relevant degree from a culinary school preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in pastry making
- Familiarity with different types of cuisines is a plus
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: 1400$ per month
