Typesetter

As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for setting and arranging text and images to create page layouts for various print materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers. You will work closely with the editorial team to ensure that the content is visually appealing and easy to read. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members.

Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to format and arrange text and images
- Collaborate with editors to understand design requirements and create visually appealing layouts
- Ensure all text is accurately placed and aligned
- Make necessary adjustments to font sizes, styles, and spacing
- Review proofs for errors or inconsistencies
- Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality work

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in graphic design or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and other design software
- Strong understanding of typography principles
- Excellent time-management and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to spot errors
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Location:
This position is located in Almada, Portugal. While this is a preference, we welcome candidates of any nationality who are able to relocate.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month.
