Brick Mason

We are in need of a skilled Brick Mason to join our team in Svalbard. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures made of brick, stone, and other materials. Your duties will include laying out patterns, mixing mortar, and cutting and shaping materials to fit specific spaces. You must have a strong understanding of different building techniques and be able to read blueprints and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
- Lay out patterns for walls and other structures using measuring tools
- Cut or break bricks, stones, or other materials to fit specific spaces
- Mix mortar or grout according to specified proportions
- Spread mortar between bricks or stones using trowels or other tools
- Use levels, plumb bobs, and string lines to ensure structures are level and straight
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or stones
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on job sites
- Read blueprints or construction plans to determine project requirements
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Brick Mason
- Strong understanding of different building techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
- Experience with mixing mortar and using various masonry tools
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Salary:
This position offers a salary of $1500 per month with the potential for overtime pay.
