Entry-level Typesetter


We are seeking an Entry-level Typesetter to join our publishing team in Svalbard. In this role, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for various print and digital publications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about design and typography, has a keen eye for detail, and is looking to start their career in the publishing industry.

Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text and images according to design specifications
- Ensure all text is free of errors, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Collaborate with designers and editors to ensure consistency in design and content
- Utilize software programs such as Adobe InDesign to create layouts
- Proofread final designs before printing or publishing
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new typesetting techniques

Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- A portfolio showcasing previous typesetting work is preferred but not required

Salary: 1600$ per month

This position includes a free visa and ticket for the right candidate.

Svalbard is a beautiful location with unique wildlife experiences. While we prefer candidates who are already based in Svalbard or willing to relocate, we are open to remote work arrangements for exceptional candidates.
