Data Mining Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Mining Specialist to join our team in Funchal on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting and analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in data mining and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Use data mining tools and techniques to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets
- Identify patterns, trends, and correlations within the data to inform business decisions
- Develop and maintain databases for storing and organizing data
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and provide insights
- Develop reports and visualizations to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Continuously monitor data quality to ensure accuracy and consistency

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Mining Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R or other programming languages used for data mining
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience working with large databases and handling complex datasets
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
- Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to various stakeholders

Salary: $1800 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Funchal (accommodation provided)

Contract length: 1 year (with possibility of extension)
