Preservation Architect - Wiltz, Luxembourg
We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Wiltz, Luxembourg. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while adhering to local regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough site assessments and surveys to evaluate the condition of historic structures
- Developing preservation plans and proposals for restoration projects
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of buildings
- Overseeing construction work to ensure compliance with preservation plans and quality standards
- Utilizing your expertise in traditional building materials and techniques to preserve historical authenticity
- Conducting research on historical significance, materials, and techniques used in the construction of buildings
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation on preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong understanding of architectural history, design principles, and building materials
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience working on historic preservation projects in Europe
- Knowledge of local regulations and guidelines for historic preservation
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus
Salary: $1000 USD/month (negotiable based on experience)
