Junior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Braga. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, maintaining records of transactions, and performing basic accounting tasks. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone with little to no experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transactions
- Process invoices and payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare basic journal entries and assist with month-end close processes
- Participate in audits and assist with tax filings
- Support other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
