DevOps Developer
As a DevOps Developer, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, and management of our software applications. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of our products. Your main duties will include writing code, configuring systems, and automating processes. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. This role requires a strong understanding of software development and system administration, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should have experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Ansible, and Jenkins. This is a full-time position in Svalbard with a salary of $1100 per month. Accommodation and visa sponsorship will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for software deployment and configuration.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements.
- Work with operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.
- Create documentation for software deployment processes.
- Implement security measures to protect systems from potential threats.
- Continuously improve processes through automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a DevOps or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software development principles.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience working with DevOps tools such as Docker, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare or VirtualBox.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Certification in DevOps or related field.
