A prestigious architectural firm specializing in historic preservation seeks a qualified Preservation Architect to join our team in the stunning arctic city of Svalbard. Our firm is dedicated to preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, and we are looking for a passionate and skilled individual to help us continue our important work.

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for conducting detailed assessments of historic buildings, recommending appropriate restoration techniques, and overseeing the execution of preservation projects. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and other architects to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with established preservation standards and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of experience working on preservation projects. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is essential, as you will be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and approvals for restoration work. A strong eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills are also crucial for success in this role.

In addition to technical skills, we are seeking a candidate who is passionate about preserving history and has a deep appreciation for architecture. You must possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to strict deadlines is also necessary.

This full-time position offers a salary of $1600 per month without accommodation provided. We welcome applicants of any gender or nationality who possess the required skills and qualifications. However, due to visa restrictions, candidates must have their own valid visa allowing them to work in Svalbard.
