Android Developer

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our team in Svalbard on a contract basis. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mobile applications for the Android platform. Your primary focus will be on creating high-quality, user-friendly and efficient applications that meet our customers' needs. You will work closely with our team of designers, developers and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes and device capabilities. Experience working with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and offline storage is also required. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as an Android Developer
- Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Proficient with Java, Kotlin, and other programming languages
- Experience working with remote data via RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with third-party libraries such as Retrofit, Picasso, etc.
- Knowledge of multi-threading, memory management, and caching mechanisms specific to mobile devices
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Ability to debug complex issues and provide solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Salary: $1300 per month

Location: Svalbard (remote work possible)

Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
