Local Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Truck Driver to join our team in Svalbard. As a Local Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods within the local area. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods within the local area
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Plan and execute route efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers

Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations in the past 5 years
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
- Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic laws
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Working Conditions:
This is a physically demanding job that requires sitting for long periods of time while driving. You may also need to load/unload heavy items from the truck bed. The working hours may vary depending on delivery schedules, but typically include early mornings and weekends. We do not provide accommodation for this position.
