Power Engineer
Location: Malindi, Kenya
Salary: 1200 USD/month
As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining power systems and equipment for various projects in the city of Malindi. Your main tasks will include analyzing power needs, creating plans and specifications for power systems, and overseeing installation and maintenance activities. Additionally, you will be expected to troubleshoot any issues that may arise with the power systems and provide technical support to other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of power needs for different projects in Malindi
- Create detailed plans and specifications for new power systems or modifications to existing ones
- Oversee installation of power systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Perform regular maintenance checks on power systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with the power systems and develop solutions
- Provide technical support to other team members as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Power Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on power projects in Malindi or other parts of Kenya
- Knowledge of renewable energy sources such as solar or wind power
- Familiarity with local regulations and codes related to electrical engineering
