Pastry Chef - Bergen, Norway
As a Pastry Chef at our bakery in Bergen, Norway, you will be responsible for creating and producing delicious pastries and desserts that will delight our customers. You will use your creativity and expertise to develop new recipes and menu items, while also ensuring that all products meet our high standards of taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and breads
- Develop new recipes and menu items to keep the bakery's offerings fresh and interesting
- Ensure that all products are made with high-quality ingredients and are presented beautifully
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts preferred
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Creative flair and passion for developing new recipes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this full-time position. In addition, we provide health benefits and paid time off.
