Preservation Architect

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city of Porto, Portugal. You will work part-time, with a salary of 1000$ per month. This position requires a high level of experience in preservation architecture, as well as knowledge of historical building techniques and materials. You will work closely with local authorities and community organizations to ensure that preservation projects adhere to all regulations and meet the needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their condition and necessary repairs
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to oversee restoration projects
- Research historical building techniques and materials to inform restoration processes
- Work closely with local authorities and community organizations to gain necessary approvals for preservation projects
- Monitor project progress and ensure that all work is completed according to schedule
- Document all preservation projects for record keeping purposes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of historical building techniques and materials
- Experience working with local authorities or community organizations preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
