Urgent Contract Baker in Bergen, Norway


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our team in Bergen, Norway on an urgent contract basis. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare doughs and batters for various types of breads, pastries, and other baked goods
- Bake all products according to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate and finish products with glazes, icings, toppings, and fillings
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies and place orders when necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Keep work area clean and sanitized at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker or similar role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and methods
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Valid food handler's permit or certificate
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, early mornings or late evenings if needed

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Baker in a commercial kitchen setting. A culinary degree or certificate is preferred but not required. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.

Contract Duration:
This is an urgent contract position with an immediate start date. The duration of the contract will be discussed during the interview process.
