Merchandiser (Indian Nationals) - Contract Position



We are currently hiring for the role of Merchandiser for our company in Nakuru, Kenya. This is a contract position suitable for Indian nationals who are looking for a job opportunity in an English-speaking environment.

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the purchase of products from suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that products are displayed effectively to attract customers. You will also be responsible for conducting market research to identify new products and trends, negotiating with suppliers to get the best prices, and maintaining good relationships with them.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Prior experience in merchandising is not required as we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a great opportunity for students or individuals without experience to gain valuable skills in the field of merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate product purchases from suppliers
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products
- Conduct market research to identify new products and trends
- Negotiate with suppliers to get competitive prices
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers
- Ensure effective product displays in stores
- Monitor sales performance of products and make necessary adjustments

Requirements:
- Indian nationality preferred
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
