Pastry Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry recipes that align with our menu offerings
- Prepare and bake various types of bread, cakes, cookies, pies, and other pastries
- Decorate pastries using different techniques to ensure an attractive presentation
- Manage inventory and order necessary ingredients to maintain stock levels
- Monitor food quality to ensure consistency and compliance with health regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff members
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen setting
- Proven knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Creative flair for designing visually appealing desserts that are also delicious
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this position.
