Interpreter - Spanish/English



We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Interpreter to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and clear interpretation between Spanish and English for various settings such as business meetings, conferences, legal proceedings, medical appointments, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely interpretation services between Spanish and English speakers
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Understand the subject matter being discussed in order to provide accurate interpretation
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and awareness in all interactions
- Take notes or provide written translations when necessary
- Collaborate with other interpreters or team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in interpretation
- Keep up-to-date with industry terminology and advancements in language proficiency

Requirements:
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- Proven experience as an interpreter or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Interpretation, Translation or related field is preferred
- Valid work permit for Norway is required

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
