Interpreter (English-Norwegian)

We are a leading translation and interpretation company based in Bergen, Norway, seeking an experienced Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Norwegian and have a strong background in interpreting for various industries.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and efficient interpretation services for clients in a variety of settings, including meetings, conferences, and legal proceedings
- Facilitate effective communication between individuals who speak different languages
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Research and familiarize yourself with industry-specific terminology to provide the most accurate interpretations
- Maintain a high level of understanding of cultural differences to effectively interpret subtle nuances
- Collaborate with other interpreters as needed for larger events or projects

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Norwegian; additional languages are a plus
- Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in a professional setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific terminology and vocabulary
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when necessary
- Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability are essential

Salary: $1500 per month

This is a full-time position without accommodation. However, we do offer free visa sponsorship and travel arrangements for non-Norwegian citizens.
