We are a reputable manufacturing company in Porto, Portugal seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal products according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques and tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, sketches, or specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
- Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments together
- Monitor the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping
- Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure that they meet quality standards
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder with at least 2 years of work experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proficient in using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC)
- Knowledge of safe operation of various welding tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time
- Basic math skills for measurements

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications:
Valid certification in welding preferred

Language:
Fluent in Portuguese; basic knowledge of English is an asset

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with working hours from 8 am - 5 pm Monday-Friday. The job will be performed on-site at our manufacturing facility in Porto. The employee must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Protective gear will be provided.
