We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team at a local library in Oslo, Norway. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist with various tasks such as shelving books, organizing materials, and providing customer service to library patrons. Key Responsibilities:
- Shelving books and maintaining organization of library materials
- Assisting with cataloging and processing new items for the collection
- Providing friendly and helpful customer service to library patrons
- Assisting with basic reference inquiries and research requests
- Participating in library programs and events as needed
- Helping to maintain a clean and welcoming environment within the library
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service setting preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary: $1700 per month (part-time)
Location: Oslo, Norway (must have valid work permit)
